A New Week

Clean up begins
Clean up begins
Ang says...

We had a busy day on the farm yesterday. The diaper store had flood over the holidays, and the clean up crew began their recovery work yesterday. It was amazing to see the ceiling tiles on the floor, the walls in the garbage, and everything piled up in a corner in my office. It's really uplifting to see some action being taken. When I first discovered the waterfall coming through the kitchen ceiling, well, I wasn't in the mood to look forward to the positive side of this situation. However, now that the clean up has started, I am feeling uplifted and enthusiastic again.

Play group at the Coop was back on. We had some down time over the holidays, but it was nice to have a friendly crowd to share company with again. We are working out the kinks in the building... we also had some water damage to the Coop floor over the holidays. I think the protective wax coating got soft which resulted in some scratches, but the concrete guys told us that this floor is super durable, so I suspect that the damage is only to the wax coating, and we'll put a little wax touchup on to see if we can get it back to brand-new condition.

The weather is crisp and cold... just the way I like winter weather to be :)

Caelin is off to school, Russell is in child care today, and Tobi is still sleeping. Pretty soon Tim will be back in the house with a hot coffee and an apple fritter and then we'll figure out what we want our day to look like. I hear the oil furnace kicking in, so I guess I'll go put some wood on the fire.
